Whether This Headache Can Be Something So Dangerous As Glioblastoma?

Posted on 6 days ago
Question: it all started on 2nd Feb 2025 with headache took naproxen didn't get relieved ( generally my migraines are well managed with naprosyn ) next day I took naproxen the headache went down a little but it stayed there ( though the headache intensity was not severe but bothersome) I went to two neurologists they checked neurological examinations and told nothing serious. I also went for eye check up. My fondus was checked and no papilledema was told. I was put on Vasograin and amitripyline and headaches were starting to get subsided untill last Wednesday evening I had severe headache on top of headache like someone was pressing my head and nausea and I had to vomit to throw up food to get my nausea relieved ( though on that day I forgot to take vasograin and had outside food so was wondering whether it was due to stomach gas ). That was only incident of nausea in these days. But last couple of days I had ringing in my ears specially when its quite, pressure in head when lying down (though I eventually fell asleep) and some nerve twitching in legs and nose. I have had Brain MRI in October 2023 and May 2024 and I was not advised mRI this time. My CBC, CRP, ESR, LDH, cortisol, IL-6 blood levels are well within the range. I am very scared whether this can be something so dangerous as Glioblastoma?

Brief Answer:
Most probable cause of your symptoms is migraine

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The following are most probable causes of your headache with other associated symptoms:
1)migraine
2)cluster headache
3)cerebral aneurysms
4)temporal or giant cell arteritis
5)intracranial hemorrhage
6)intracranial space occupying lesions
7)idiopathic intracranial hypertension
But yours is most probably migraine. Your medication also was given for migraine. My recommendations are as follows :
1) kindly don't miss to take your medication as prescribed.
2)stress management is very important
3) good sleep is very important
4)you can take antiemetic like tab.vomikind MD 4mg
5)apply hot or cold compresses to your head.
6) warm showers will also help.
7)if you still have symptoms, you may undergo MRI brain once to rule out other causes. But as you had it in may 2024, it's not necessary in my opinion.
Possibility of glioblastoma is almost very very minimal. So please don't worry about that.
Hope I have answered your question. Please let me know if you need further assistance. Thank you. Take care.
Thanks.
