Which Among Febutaz And Zyloric Is Better To Control Uric Acid?

Question: I was on zyloric as prevention for gout attack for many years. But I have an attack now. Is Febtaz 40 a better drug to reduce uric acid level during gout attack ? Or should I simply double zyloric dosage? I am on Dichlofenac 50 for inflammation control

Yes, Febutaz is a better drug as compared to Zyloric for control of uric acid.
In cases of acute attack of Gout, Colchichine is the drug of choice. However Diclofenac itself can help in pain , swelling of acute gout attack.

Thanks for your clarification. But is it ok to change to Febutaz 40 DURING A GOUT ATTACK from zylorc ?

Hi, As i mentioned that there is no role or Zyloric or Febutaz in an acute attack of gout, so there is no problem in changing the medicine from Zyloric to Febutaz.
