Question: hello sir, I am newly married, I want to know which is safe period to have sex without protection to avoid unwanted pregenancy.

"Safe period" refers to a time period in a woman's menstrual cycle when the chances of pregnancy are the least. In other words, it may be "relatively safe" to have sex during this period and the risk of pregnancy is therefore minimal. A relatively safe period is considered as: Day 1 to Day 9 and Day 19 till the beginning of next cycle (for woman who has a regular 28 day cycle (the first day of the woman's menstrual periods is counted as Day 1). Now, it is very important to know that the safe period method of birth control is not 100 % effective (effectiveness is only about 80%). So, there is still a risk of pregnancy even if sexual intercourse happens only during the safe period. So, please keep this in mind.
