Then I had sex(unprotected) on the 15th Aug and today is 19th Aug I think my period should be due today but it hasn't showed yet. Is there a chance of pregnancy given the times I had intercourse. Also please will like to be educated on safe and unsafe period for sex.

Brief Answer:
You can wait for few more days

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
I understand your concern.
Usually in case of regular 28 to 30 days menstrual periods, ovulation is expected to occur between 12th to 18th day of the menstrual cycle. According to that if you are having regular periods, the possibility of pregnancy is less in your case.
If you are having irregular periods, it is difficult to predict the time of ovulation and possibility of pregnancy.
Generally minimal fluctuations in the length of menstrual cycles can be seen frequently. So, better to wait for few more days. If you do not get periods even one week after expected date, please go for urine pregnancy test once.
Regarding safe period, in case of regular 28 to 30 days menstrual cycles, first ten days and last ten days of the cycle i.e. 1st to 10th and 21th to 30th days can be considered as safe for intercourse. And 11th to 20th day should be considered as possible fertile period.
Take care.
