How can you describe the headache and where is it located? Does it radiate? For how long have you had this headache? Does it come and go or it is always present? How severe is it from 1 to 10? So you have any other symptoms?
You can use Ibuprofen 400 mg every 12 hours as needed. But if it doesn't help then probably you need to see a neurologist to examine you and probably order imaging studies. I say this because you describe your headache as severe. That is why I am looking forward to your follow up question to understand more and help you as much as possible.
