Question: Hello from last one week I had a lump/cyst in my leg. I have been diagnosed with pyogenic abscess and Achilles tendon in limbs by local doctor. I have been prescribed sumag ointment. Which department like medicine, surgery, Ortho etc. should I consult for better second opinion

Hello,

First of all ultrasonography is done and if the findings are suggestive of pus/fluid inside, the Radiologist can tell us whether this is a clear fluid or pus-like thing and then aspiration if advised.

Aspiration is putting a regular needle into the affected area and the content is sucked out.
Of course, this is done only if thought to be required.
