Which Type Of Sacroiliac Fusion Is Effective?

default
Posted on Wed, 27 May 2015
Question: I am considering sacroiliac fusion based on the results of my injections. There are several vendor products that doctors use that I am considering. These include 1) SIFix by Nutech (Cancellous allograft dowel posterior approach into the joints), 2) IFuse by SI-Bone which is a lateral approach using 3 Triangular implants.

Do you know which one is better?

Brief Answer:
I fuse by lateral approach is better

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I have read your query.
IFuse by lateral approach is better for SI joint fusion.
This approach has less morbidity and post operative results are good.
you need to follow post operative partial weight bearing if you are doing on one side only.
i hope I have answered your questions. If you have further questions please feel free to contact us. I will be happy to answer. Take care.
