Hello,
I understand your concern and would like to explain that considering the actual pandemics situation, using airlines seems to be a safer mode of transport when compared to other alternatives.
This is explained by the shortest time of travelling; in addition there is no need to stay in hotels during transportation or interacting with other people in several environments.
If you follow the recommended measures like face mask and enough distancing there are no issues of concern in this regard.
Wishing you a pleasant journey!
Let me know in case of any further questions!

Hello doctor
Many thanks for the reply . I have few more clarifications .
1) is it advisable to take an antibody Test after second dose of vaccine , if yes after how many days should we take the test . Also Is there any measurement with which we can confirm that there is some antibody response . It’s just that we have doubts if the vaccine was given properly in teh first place so just for verification purpose.
2) we have a maid who comes daily to our house she does not wear a mask and we are not able to convince her in that case can I wear a mask at home throughout . Is it advisable ?
3) what if the driver and the person who is going to travel with me takes the rt Pcr test . Is it then safe to travel in car till XXXXXXX . The journey takes almost 12 hours .my fear for local domestic flights is we hear many stories that transmission is high in closed confinement and in domestic travels passengers are not expected to take rt Pcr test . That is why .

Hello again!
Thank you for the additional information!
Let me explain as follows:
1) A serological test could be done beginning from two weeks after the second vaccine dose. Increased IgG level would be an indicator that the applied vaccine has been effective at boosting your immune system; so you would be protected from developing severe Covid symptomatology.
2) Yes! It is advisable to wear a mask when in close proximity wit ha suspicious individual, even if you are vaccinated.
3) You are right! It would be safe if the individuals traveling with you get that test. Anyways, you should wear the mask whichever be their test results.
Let me know in case of any further question.

Dr. Iliri

Hello doctor
Many thanks again for the reply . In case I need to travel by road to XXXXXXX . Can you please tell me the precautions that I can take to avoid catching infection. I will definitely ask the driver also to take the PCR test along with me and my family member who is going to accompany me . But other than that what else I can do . I will be staying in my Relatives house for just few hours to refresh . Both of them are not completely fully vaccinated . What else I need to follow. Also for the next one week there is no flight . During this time we have a maid who comes to our house daily . My brother and father keeps ordering online and collect it from the courier guy almost every alternate day . I have told them not to but they say those are important things . So is it advisable for me to wear a mask throughout the day whenever I am in the common area with them . But it’s my mother who prepares food and she is fully vaccinated and so is my father . Please advise . Is there any preventative medicine I can take . How effective is the steam inhalation daily .

Hello again!
I understand your concern and would explain that steam therapy is not effective in the prevention or treatment of Covid. There is no preventive treatment for Covid, besides masks, social distance and washing hands frequently.
I think that it is OK if you put a FFP2 mas (N95) during your journey in order to prevent from breathing viral particles. If you take pauses during your road trip to help refresh the air in the car, it would be helpful too.
In your house, it is important to keep the distance from your maid, your brother and your relatives. It is OK to stay in a house with them, but please try to keep the distance from each of them (at least 1.5 or 2 meters). If this is not possible, wearing a mask will be helpful.
It is also important to keep windows open time after time to help the air circulate outdoors and indoors.
Try not to touch your nose, after touching doors and try to wash your hands frequently. Please try not to panic!
I think that everything is going to be OK if you follow these simple advices!
You should know that doctors and nurses work in hospitals with a lot of covid patients, where the viral particles circulate in a high percentage and they do not get infected wearing a mask and washing hands. So, it is not so complicated!
Hope to have been helpful!
Wishing all the best,
