Why Im Feeling Very Dehydrated After Recovering From Covid?
Question: I'm feeling very dehydrated and don't know what to do. Since having covid 2/5. I have not been able to eat and drink like I use to so I know I'm dehydrated. I wanted to know would it be good to try and drink Biolyte and if so, how much or should I go to an urgent care or hospital to get an IV? Also, I keep getting like an off and on heart burn sensation above my left bresst area. I'm just praying that covid did not mess up my heart in some way. That sensation is sorta like a nerves tremor feeling. I just don't know what to do. Can someone please help? Thanks
Brief Answer:
Get tested
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Hydration status can be influenced by many factors, I suggest you to get tested for electrolytes first. If there is any discrepancy, correcting it can help you to retain the water.
Also, do get your blood sugar levels checked. High blood sugars are expected especially after steroid treatments in covid. Lowering the sugar levels will help you to hold the water in.
Yes, you can take Biolyte.
Hope, I answered your query.
Wish you good health.
