Question: I am facing back pain problem specially in upper side of back when I am sleeping with one sided posture. Actually I slipped from stairs and got this problem in 2017. I have visited the doctor and have talen out the XRay. Nothing was serious as per Doctor. He advised me to take some pain killer and have Hot/Cold water message. Hello XXXXXXX

I'm sorry you have been having back pain for so long. What I would recommend at this point, given that you were initially seen by a doctor and had an X-ray, would be to see a physical therapist. They are well trained in evaluating and providing exercises that may help with musculoskeletal problems.

If, however, physical therapy does not help, then you may need to see your doctor again and have an MRI, which can show deep soft tissue injury that an X-ray can't.

For pain management for the short term, you can use ibuprofen 3 times a day but be sure to only take it after you have some food in your stomach. I would not advise taking it for more than 10 days in a row.

Please let me know if I can provide further information or clarification.

And a physical therapist. They may be able to help you enough that you don't need further testing, depending on the nature of the injury.
