Why Am I Feeling My Mid Back Felt Tight ?

default
Posted on Wed, 8 Jan 2025
Question: Hi. I have been on here frequently over the past few weeks. I am concerned because I went to the gym this morning and worked out. When I got home, my mid back felt tight right where the clasp from the bra would be. I am again staring to worry that it is my heart and that I am having a heart attack or aortic aneurysm. Would the aortic aneurysm or leak have shown up when I went to the ER 2 weeks ago and blood work, X-ray, and ECG are done? I’m not sure what to do.

Hello,

I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms seem to be related to a muscle spasm, not related to the heart.

Anyway, a heart attack is much more dramatic witha chest pain and shortness of breath and blood pressure changes.

Regarding a possible aortic aneurysm, it can be detected by ultrasound. The ECG is not an accurate test for this disorder. From the other hand, an airtic aneurysm does not cause chest or back pain. When it is ruptured it leads to hypovolemic shock which is a very dramatic situation.

So try to relax and don’t worry too much about it!

I do feel like my breathing is different. Almost like I am breathing differently. Even if the tightness is in the middle of my back, is that okay? I am concerned that I am going to die ot a heart attack at any moment.

Hello again!

Based on your description this seems to be a musculoskeletal pain.

Anxiety seems to be playing an important role in all this clinical situation too.

Anyway, I don’t think that anything serious is going on!

I recommend taking ibuprofen for the pain and a camomile tea. Some rest will be really helpful!

Hope you will find this information helpful!

Wishing all the best!
