Why Am I Getting Pain At The Base Of The Penis And A Short Sharp Shooting Pain During Ejaculation?

Noticed over the last 2.5months I’ve had couple episodes of pain on the base of my penis when ejeculating. Sharp shooting pain lasting 2 seconds and then resolving with no other sensation. I’m 34 years, not sexually active. I’ve not experienced any other symptoms such as blood in my urine/semen pain on urinating , back/pelvic pain, increased frequency of urinating.

Based on the facts that you have posted painful ejaculation that you have is mostly due to either infection of the prostate (Prostatitis) .
I shall be happy if you can post me more details to help me in making precise comments
1) Are you Diabetic?
2) Are you taking any drug especially anti Psychotic drug for depression ?
3) Are you married ?
4) How much is the frequency of sexual intercourse with your partner ?
5) Is there any stress factor in your life ?
The commonest cause of painful ejaculation in young adult is infection of prostate (Prostatitis)
Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Serum PSA.
Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis till then you can take antibiotic like Cefexime and anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily

The painful ejaculation that you have is mostly due to congestion of prostate resulting from abstinence .
At young adult age It is advisable to discharge the prostate secretions either by sexual intercourse or masturbation at frequent intervals of at least thrice a week .
I would suggest you to ejaculate thrice a week .This would help to reduce dysorgasmia .

At young adult age It is advisable to discharge the prostate secretions either by sexual intercourse or masturbation at frequent intervals of at least thrice a week .
I would suggest you to ejaculate thrice a week .This would help to reduce dysorgasmia .

I’ve been reading and chronic Prostatitis is not uncommon at my age? What is my Likley prognosis if it’s diagnosed at non bacterial chronic Prostatitis?
