Detailed Answer:
Dear Sonar,
Thanks for follow up.
The details provided by you are not enough to make a proper diagnosis.
However one of the following could be the reasons for your unwanted thoughts
1. Depression
2. Anxiety
3. Obsessive compulsive disorder
4. Adjustment disorder
I like to inform you that there are treatment options for each condition. Generally SSRI group of medications such as fluoxetine, sertraline, escitalopram among others are effective to prevent/control unwanted thoughts. Since all of these medications require prescription I request you to see a psychiatrist.
Generally I prefer to start with escitalopram 10 mg at night and evaluate after 10 days in similar problems.
After through evaluation there may be need for counselling.
I hope this helps you further.
Thanks again.
