Why Am I Having Right Sided Base Of Skull Discomfort Along With Short Periods Of My Right Leg And Foot Numbness?
Question: I am having right sided base of skull discomfort along with short periods of my right leg and foot being parolized no feeling cannot move leg or toes lasted two minutes then left arm and hand same thing week before There is a history of brain anyuresm in family lost 3 members 38 year old sister grandfather and two uncles all died from this .Should I be concerned

The story you tell of either extreme weakness or perhaps even paralysis along with changes in sensory perception which are FOCAL (i.e. in a specific limb) in conjunction with what may be a headache of sorts AND a strong family history of aneurysms certainly deserves your UNDIVIDED ATTENTION in my opinion.
You may be suffering from Transient Ischemic Attacks (TIA's) or what are commonly referred to as mini-strokes.
My strong advice to you is to call 911 the next time anything like this happens. In the mean time you should also actively seek an urgent appointment with the closest NEUROLOGIST (stroke specialist would be great) for an evaluation since I believe you very much need a good neurological evaluation to see whether you have actually suffered a stroke at this point or if these are truly TIA's. The 2nd thing you really need to get is an imaging study of the head to detect the presence or not of aneurysms as well as if there has been any leakage or bleeding into the brain at this point.
My suspicion for a significant bleed is very low....but the strong history of aneurysms in the family is concerning and I would very much advise you to become interested and knowledgeable as to whether or not you have inherited this condition through family genetics. Not only for your own sake....but also for any children/grandchildren you have- it would be very important to know if you also possessed an aneurysm. It may also be possible to do genetic studies to tell whether or not a cause for these aneurysms can be detected. You never know there could an available treatment just waiting for you...if only you had the proper diagnosis.

2. In the mean time you need to identify a good, reputable NEUROLOGIST or STROKE SPECIALIST in your area who can get you in to their office AS SOON AS POSSIBLE in order to get a proper evaluation of what has been going on in you and your family.
3. As well you should obtain a SPECIALIST doctor (NEUROLOGIST or STROKE NEUROLOGIST) who can ORDER the proper imaging studies for the purpose of seeing whether or not you have evidence of a STROKE, BLEED, or VASCULAR BLOCKAGE, ANEURYSM, OR MALFORMATION that could be responsible for what sound to be TIA's.
