I can understand your concern.
Best treatment of bronchitis is inhaled bronchodilators (Formoterol or Salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (Budesonide or Fluticasone).
So start these inhaled drugs if you have not taken yet.
Please let me know if you have taken any inhaled treatment or not.

Albuterol inhaler and I do smoke but really haven't been since Sunday because of this
Brief Answer:
You should get done PFT.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your follow up question.
I can understand your concern.
First of all, please note that Albuterol is not appropriate for control of bronchitis.
Albuterol is short-acting beta 2 agonist. Its action lasts for only 3-4 hours.
Better to start long-acting inhaled bronchodilators (Formoterol or Salmeterol).
You should also get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) if not done already because you are a smoker and you are at risk of chronic bronchitis. Please let me know how many cigarettes did you smoke in a day? And since how many years?
PFT is a must for the diagnosis of chronic bronchitis. It will not only diagnose bronchitis but it will also tell you about the severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only.
Wish you good health.
Take care.
