Why Are CRP And Sed Rates High While Getting Treated For Cellulitis?
more information please...
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
first of all in order to assess the CRP I need the units of measurement. CRP is usually measured as mg/dL or mg/L. If it's 19mg/L then it's very low and probably indicates successful treatment. I can't say whether it's complete but I can say it's successful so far. The ESR (sed rate) may rise less abruptly than CRP but it also declines slower than CRP. So a slightly elevated ESR is not a reason for concern.
Your clinical status is very important as well. If redness, warmth and fever have subsided then you're doing fine. The vital signs is another good way to check the progress of treatment. When they return to normal the treatment is usually successful.
Please upload the reports, so I can check the units or check the units and let me know.
I hope you find my comments helpful!
Kind Regards!
