Brief Answer:
Red cheeks- related to condition known as "Rosacea".

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum. I can understand your concern for red cheeks.

Red cheeks could be due to variety of causes in dermatology. Most commonly it is related to a condition known as "Rosacea". In this condition there is redness of the cheeks of variable degree. Redness is the initial symptom which may persist for few hours to almost multiple days. This might be followed by bit warmth sensation over the cheek area. In more aggravated cases there could be some eruptions over the cheek area.

It is due to the hypersensitivity of the superficial blood vessels of cheeks. Due to this there is more prominence of small blood vessels (known as capillaries) over the skin of cheeks. It may be aggravated by sunlight, exposure to external environment and even stress or emotional disturbance is also an important causative factor.

To help you best regarding your condition, I humbly request you to kindly elaborate certain points:

- Since how long you have this condition.

- Any other related symptoms you feel along with redness such as any small eruptions or related thing.

- Any aggravating factor including the above mentioned factors.

- Any itching or warmth sensation.

It would be best if you can send few good resolution pictures of the affected area. For that you have a feature on the right side of the page. or else you can send the pictures at
