Why Are Urinary Urgency Symptoms Returning After Taking Monurol?
Question: I took Munurol yesterday and felt great. Today I have urinary urgency symptoms returning. I was given another antibiotic to take in case this doesn’t work. Shall I take it or wait?
Brief Answer:
Continue with Monurol!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Antibiotics often need at least 48-72 hours for effective action to commence. My advise is that there is not sufficient time yet to rule out the effectiveness of munorol which is a very good antibiotic for UTI in women. Changing to Azo at this time is premature and would not be a great decision.
I hope this helps and guides. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be. Keep me updated as you continue with munorol.

Thank you, Dr. Ditah! If I go for 72 hrs and do not have relief, it is okay to go on the new antibiotic Bactrim?
Thank you again for your time. I will keep you updated.
