Why Bleeding Only Come During Intercourse?

I had the NovaSure procedures done 20 months ago and had experienced no periods at all until yesterday when I did have bleeding at the time my period would have been due, but the bleeding only came thru during intercourse, then stopped. Is this normal?

Novasure is a procedure by which excessive bleeding menses are treated by ablation of endometrium(which flows out as menstrual blood).
After the procedure the bleeding is reduced &is observed in following ways-
1.Most of the ladies start menstruating according to their habit.after few months..but bleeding is reduced.
2 .Few ladies stop menstruating completely after Novasure procedure
3.In few of them the endometrium starts growing again to give occasional scanty bleedings
*Any one of these is a varient of normal result...depending on patient basic menstrual habit.
I feel you seem to fit in 3rd category.. where bleeding was observedafter20 months of procedure, only during sex . Please keep this observing &maintain good genital hygiene.It may remain so for few days to disappear. /or it may start to occur as a regular reduced monthly period.
**But I would suggest a internal check up by your gynecologist to exclude any infection or inflammation or polyp at cervix...which can cause such bleeding&needs its specific treatment .
