Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I don't think it may be Gerd because Gerd is in esophagus and bengay could not help.
I would prefer to have a picture of it and if possible attached one at reports.
It can be many different things from dry skin, to scabies, eczema, psoriasis, allergic reaction etc.
Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further

Hi Dr. Olgeta, I was wondering if the itch was in the lung would bengay stop the itching? I'm trying to determine if its internal or superficial. The itch seems from the lungs, but could be a muscle also. Do you know if bengay reach lungs, I notice once I applied bengay ig stopped.
Brief Answer:
Itching lungs affect breathing.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Bengay helps only skin problems due to its analgesic effects. It doesn't penetrate to lungs.
If your lungs itch it can affect breathing and may be sign of allergic reaction or asthma.
Also in this case weezing is present (a noise caused in lungs by breathing difficulties).
I think is a skin problem.
Regards
