Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Well, could you please let me know a bit more details so that I can assist you better.
Since how long are you having this complaint?
How is the pain? Is it stabbing/piercing from inside/do you feel any pain when you touch the area?
Any heaviness inside the chest region?
Is the pain staying static or radiating towards the jaw/ left upper arm/down below?
Any pain while breathing or during hand/shoulder movement?
How was your heart check-up results? Any recent check-up? Any history of smoking?
Any other complaints?
It seems like a lot of questionnaire, but considering your age and complaints, these are part of necessary evaluation.
Let me know if I can assist you further. Awaiting...
Take care.

Please see the detailed answer below.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Well, as per this description, this does seem like a stress-induced pain (not necessarily need to be due to muscle pull).
Please take rest for a few days. Avoid any strenuous activities involving the left upper arm/shoulder.
Taking a mild analgesic (eg. Acetaminophen/Tylenol up to thrice daily after some food) should be helpful.
Apply some ice/cold compression twice to thrice daily over the area and observe how you stay. Please avoid massaging the area, just gently apply the compression.
With all these, it should subside within a few days. However, in an unlike scenario, if it doesn't improve, please be advised to get the area examined by your physician to look into it thoroughly.
Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.
