It seems like an allergic rash, please see the detailed answer below.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Is it itchy/painful?
Can you see any other marks developing anywhere else in the body?
It does seem like a hive, secondary to some allergen (perhaps the dog's hair was containing some allergen which affected you, please avoid any direct contact from the dog for the time being).
Please take an antiallergic such as Tab LEVOCETIRIZINE (10mg once daily) for next 3 days and observe how you stay.
Additionally, take a cold water shower, avoid direct sunlight exposure, apply some soothing calamine / aloe-vera lotion. This should take care of this.
If despite following these, there's any further worsening of symptoms, if you develop any generalized body-itching, fever, difficulty breathing then please visit your nearest ER for a prompt check-up (you may also require some steroid/allergy shots in that scenario).
Let me know if I can assist you further. Take Care.
Regards
