Why Do I Have A Red Strip On Left Side Back Of My Tongue?

Question: I have a red strip on left side back of my tongue that hasnt gone away completely but stays the same and its a lil irritated. Im not sure what this is?
Brief Answer:
Seems like sharp cusps of posterior teeth. Please upload picture.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
As far as redness of back of tongue is concerned this can be due to sharp cusp of your posterior teeth or due to depapillation of tongue papillae.
Can you please upload picture of your tongue so that i will give you proper diagnosis and treatment plan.
In the meantime, I will suggest you to apply choline salicylate and cetalkonium gel or Benzocaine gel on your tongue 2 to 3 times a day. Consult oral surgeon for grinding of sharp cusp of posterior teeth if present.
Awaiting for pictures for comment further.
Hope this will help you.
Thanks
