Why Do I Have An Itchy Area On My Right Lower Leg With Itchy Scabs?
Question: I have an itch area on my right lower leg, started out as a small white patch, itchy scabs over but does not heal. picture attached.
Brief Answer:
Infected eczema or Bowen's disease, topical steroid antibiotic combination
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
There are few possibilities:
either infected eczema or Bowen's disease.
I would recommend you to apply topical steroid antibiotic combination like Fusidic acid cream and betamethasone cream on the affected area twice daily and take antihistaminic like tablet Cetirizine 10 mg once or twice daily depending on the intensity of itching for 2 weeks.
If it doesn't show improvement in 2 weeks consult a doctor and go for skin biopsy of the lesion.
Topical steroids are prescription drug and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
