Brief Answer:
Can be a mild hormonal disturbance.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have gone through your query and understand your health concerns ,
The delay in periods with a negative pregnancy test rules out the pregnancy. These home pregnancy tests are 97% accurate.
The symptoms that you are having can be related to premenstrual symptoms or related to gastritis or indigestion. You need to wait for next few days and see if the periods start on their own. To be more sure you can get a blood test done to rule out the pregnancy. The delay in periods can be due to a mild hormonal disturbance.
I hope this answers your query.

I feel confident it is not a GI disturbance. I did have moodiness and PMS symptoms just prior to when my period should have started. Would you recommend any specific tests or testing to determine for sure?
