Hi,
I need to more about your symptoms:
1) When and how did it start? Abruptly, gradually?
2) Is the pain constant or intermittent?
3) Does the pain radiate?
4) Is it located primarily in your abdomen, with radiating pain to the back or vice versa?
5) Do you experience vomit/nausea?
6) Are your stools normal or watery, or do you feel constipated?
7) Do you have fever?
8) Have you experienced anything like this before?
9) Have you undergone any blood tests, radiology or the like for this condition?
Please specify.

It started on Monday and then went away for a bit. Bowel movements are normal. I have not had this pressure system before. It seems like it's all around from the stomach to the back not really radiating from one point to another. I have not had any tests done. We currently don't have insurance since my husband lost his job in March.
I do not have a fever. A little nausea but that's it. It feels like I'm a big balloon. It has slightly subsided for now so I am going to work. I will be off this afternoon to check for your opinion.
Do you have an opinion as to what it could be? Still not good today.
Thank you

I guess it's possible. I don't know. It hurts like it's been hit from the inside and goes to the back. Tender to the touch. Definitely can't push on it.
I need the pain to go away.

Brief Answer:
You should go to the ER.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
A distended abdomen in addition to abdominal pain can be many things. Irrespective of the cause, you should definitely see a doctor.
I mainly suspect diverticulitis, a completely benign condition were small "hernias" in the large bowel wall get inflamed and cause pain and often abdominal distension.
Pancreatitis is another possibility, and this is often caused by either gallstones or excessive alcohol intake (if at all do).
So, it's recommended to go to the ER for a prompt check-up and analysis first.
