Why Does A Child Has Bloodshot Eyes And Itching In The Inner Corner Of Eyes?
Question: Hi doctor.My son is 10 years old and has been having bloodshot eyes, concentrated more towards the inner corner of the eyes. He has been having this for 4 days now. His eyes become watery occasionally and very rarely ( maybe once or twice)itchy. He has been playing on the computer a lot lately and also been playing in the sun.please advice.

Your son seems to be having a combination of allergic reaction to heat and dust as well as what we call as computer vision syndrom,due to excessive use of computers.
wash his eyes meny a times a day to take care of allergy part and use astringent eye drops.
For his excessive use of computers you have to restrict his exposure ,have intermittent rest and proper distance from the screen so as not to strain his eyes too much.
