As I understand VATS has been done to remove the air which has leaked spontaneously into the pleural cavity, at the same time it also rules out certain specific causes of pneumothorax.
As the patient is onto the third week of VATS and is having vibrations it is important to understand whether this vibration is due to reaccumaltion of air or reactionary fluid or is just simply due to pleural thickening causing a rub on the site of surgery. a simply chest X-ray will rule out all these situation preceded by an examination of the chest.
However it is not necessary to be panicking unless there is breathlessness or respiratory distress.
