Okay, forget the penicillin, forget the meneire's disease. I am dealing with swollen hands.I cannot make a fist as all of the joints in my hands are swollen, inflamed and sore. I have pain in my wrists, in my elbo's, in my shoulders, I have trouble walking because of the pain and disscomfort in my knee's. whatever it is has effected all of my joints. What could cause this to happen?
Brief Answer:
Polyarticular disease
Detailed Answer:
I am sorry for the delay.
I had partial connection throughout so could not reply quickly.
Since you have swelling of all the small and major joints in the body, I could think of osteoarthritis as first, but this is chronic problem and cannot occur suddenly.
You were mentioning some oral infection so parvo virus can cause infection and swelling of joints esp small joints.
Sometimes drug reaction with Penicillin cause this episode.
Nevertheless you can still take Ibuprofen double dose three times a day and reduce the swelling of the joints.
I suggest not walk as long as the swelling and pain subside, giving stress to joints would delay the healing process.
You should certainly meet a doctor for work up on the problem you have. They can run battery of tests to find out the cause. Once cause is found the treatment is definite.
