Why Have I Had Dull Pain In The Lower Abdomen For A Week?
Question: have had a dull pain in lower abdomen below belly button above pelvis for about a week. feels like if I took some pepto bismol it would go away. urination is normal and bowels and stools seem ok. son in law and
grandson had food poisoning symptons the very early morning (grandson woke up 3am throwing up sick
all day with temp felt fine the next day/ son in law had bowel blow out in same time and no throw up, couldn't get far from toilet, home all day, fine next day. Our family watched each other but no one else had above symptoms and my above described dull pain started three or so days after the two had their event

Hi,
I strongly feel that this is probably the first symptom of the same infection that your relatives had.
I think you will need to undergo a course of antibiotics like ciprofloxacin and metronidazole as well.
Alternatively, you can meet your physician to start antibiotics as per the bacterial sensitivity in your area.
Do take care of your fluid and electrolyte balance if you do develop loosestools or vomiting.
