Why Have I Had Tingling Sensation In My Left Thumb For The Past Few Days?

Question: I have had a tingling sensation primarily in my left thumb for the past couple of days. Am seeing my dr. in 2 weeks--should I call and report this or just wait? (Am otherwise healthy.) And the tingling spreads to my hand from time to time, but the thumb and hand are not numb.
