Brief Answer:
Smouldering myeloma
Detailed Answer:
Dear
The diagnosis made is provisional. To confirm the diagnosis of smouldering or active myeloma it is a must to have bone marrow examination and its biopsy. This is one of the basic criteria for establishing the diagnosis.. In addition to establishing myeloma there are other series of investigations done to know the prognosis of the disease, immunology profiling and cytogenitic studies.
It may not be necessary to repeat the bone marrow examination. Sometimes to confirm the remission of the disease after treatment some people may prefer to repeat this examination.
I hope I have replied your query.
