Question: hi Doctor,
my PaPP-a is 0.36 and the Down Syndrome risk is 1:305.I have been told that I need to go for NIPT and take ecospirin-75.Now the NIPT has come low risk and fetal fraction is 11%.Do these results indicate any issue or things are ifine? Also why ecospirin is given to me?

Brief Answer:
No issues
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
Low PAPP-A can be present in chromosomal anomalies and is a risk factor for developing hypertension, pre eclampsia fetal growth restriction.
This is the reason why your doctor has prescribed you aspirin, to prevent these complications.
Rest all report are normal.
There is nothing to worry.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
