Question: I recently for another problem and doctor had me to do a urine sample. Urine was abnormal. I was not aware y
of any problems. Nurse gave me a rocephin shot and am taking 2000 mg of Keflex daily. What do you think was the problem? I have never taken that much antibiotics when I was unaware of a problem.

Its likely that they had suspected Urinary tract infection(UTI) and have treated you for the same. Rocephin and Keflex are both antibiotics
Injectable antibiotics are usually not required in uncomplicated UTI. If there is no associated Fever and infection is just restricted to Urinary bladder its uncomplicated UTI.

Why so much antibiotics when I had no fever and had no indication of a uti. I always know when I have a uti. I either burn when I urinate or urinate too much. Could they suspect something like mrsa or something like that. My husband works around inmates.

Severe leg and hip pain on left side. Severe headaches which require constant pain meds. When I went to Dr. I had no problem with urinary and wondered why it was checked. I am on pain mgmt. and get periodic drug screens. I had just got one two days before and urine was fine. I am wondering what the problem is.

No ultrasound was done or recommended. I didn't question as I usually did because I was in so much pain with my hip,leg, and head.
