Brief Answer:
The symptoms are of otitis externa, inflammation of the outer ear skin.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query.

The symptoms are of otitis externa, inflammation of the outer ear skin. There can be a small pimple-like swelling either over the tragus or in the adjacent area, hence touching the tragus is hurting you.

Do not worry! With simple medications, the problem can be solved.
1. Avoid touching the tragus
2. Apply an antibiotic + steroid cream, which is available over the counter
3. Take anti-inflammatory medicine such as ibuprofen or diclofenac, which is available over the counter
4. The pain and swelling (if any) should subside within 2-3 days with the above medications
5. If the symptoms persist consult a doctor for the further evaluation

Hope this answers the query. Revert if there are any follow-up queries.
