Why Is A CT Scan And Ultrasound Done After A Colonoscopy?
Question: Had my first colonoscopy last week as part of routine checkup and was taken to recovery and few minutes later nurse came in to advise that the doctor has requested I also have a ct scan while I was there as colon was already prepared; and now today I have had a call from his office to advise me that he has now also scheduled me to have an ultrasound ? I am wondering if this is all being done because he found something when he first did the colonoscopy? There is no history of colon issues in my family or anything like that;
