Brief Answer:
It is simple,painless test.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.
I am Dr Aslam here to help you.
Echocardiogram is a simple, non invasive initial evaluation of functional and structural status of the heart. It is painless, because it is done just like an ultrasound scanning-with an ultrasound probe placed on our chest. No injections or painful procedures needed. No admission needed-just an OP testing only.
It can give valuable information regarding structure and function of heart wall, chambers, valves etc.
It can detect many cardiac conditions like wall motion abnormality, valvular dysfunction, any clot in the chambers etc.
You need not worry. Its a quite simple but informative test.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have further questions,I will be happy to help.
Thank you.
