Hello,

There are many possible causes of the symptoms you have and the timing when it started and the presence of other symptoms help narrow the possible diagnosis.

If you are feeling clammy and you are sweating for less than 5-6 days than very likely you are having a viral infection and you should make sure you take plenty of fluids and the needed electrolytes (we lose a lot of salt with the sweat). Oral rehydration solutions have both fluids and electrolytes and can be taken regularly during the day. If you don't like to take oral rehydration solutions you can take your normal diet and water but add a little more salt in your diet to substitute the salt you are loosing.
Your blood pressure is a bit low (the diastolic one). This shows once more that you need to take plenty of water and salt. Your sugar level is normal.

I would recommend you to measure your temperature morning and evening (oral temperature might be more accurate than axillary one, especially if you are sweating). If your oral temperature reaches 38C then you are having a fever and taking paracetamol and ibuprofen will help to put fever down. If you are having a fever for longer than 4-5 days then you will need to see a doctor because it is uncommon with usual viral infection for the fever to go beyond this period and he will need to rule out bacterial infections that might need antibiotics or other more rare conditions.

If you have other symptoms like a cough, diarrhea, vomiting, skin rash, chest pain, shortness of breath, headaches, these are all important symptoms that will help us determine better the cause of the symptoms.

If your symptoms are lasting longer then 1-2 weeks you will need to have a visit with your doctor and have some blood tests like CBC, ERS, TSH, creatinine, electrolytes, ALT, AST, bilirubin, urinalysis, etc.

To conclude I would say:
- Please take water and electrolytes to substitute the fluids and salt you loose with sweating. This may help with the low blood pressure as well.
- You should check your oral temperature and if it is over 38C you are having a fever and this is the reason for your symptoms. Take paracetamol and ibuprofen for it
- If fever longer than 4-5 days or the clammy feeling or sweating are longer than 1-2 weeks then you will need to see your doctor and have a thorough examination. The doctor might decide to do tests on you depending on the findings.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Antoneta Zotaj
