Borderline diabetic, foot ulcer for over a year, had 2 other ulcers on inner ankle that are healed, calf hard for a week, redness 2-3 months
Brief Answer:
Follow up.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
* As there is history of other ulcers over the ankle and diabetes (borderline), I suspect
an underlying disturbances with blood supply of the limb as a reason.
* I strongly recommend to give all details of reports done by your doctor till now as
blood tests, doppler ultrasound of the limb or others for follow up discussion and
guidelines.
* Till that time you should
- Keep the area clean with antiseptic liquid.
- Can use Neosporin ointment as a part of dressing purpose.
- Avoid tight clothing, scratching.
- Tablet ibuprofen (400 mg) as analgesic if no history of drug sensitivity (to be consumed after meals).
Wish you fine recovery.
Take care.
