Why Is My Period Cycle With Cramping And Diarrhea ?
Question: I recently started my period cycle on Friday the 24th. This is the first cycle I have had in 50 days. On Saturday the 25th I woke up with pain in my right side groin area. I felt the area and found a "ball" that is tender to the touch and causing discomfort. I feel a pressure down my right leg. This period cycle I have had a lot of cramping and diarrhea as well. Overall, I am feeling very fatigued.
Brief Answer:
Can be an ovarian cyst.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The feeling of a ball that is tender in the right groin area can be related to an ovarian cyst. This can be a swollen lymph node or an intestinal issue also. The cramps during the periods are the uterine cramps that can be relieved with an over the counter anti spasmodic.
To find the exact cause it is best to get an ultrasound scan of your abdomen done. The treatment will then depend on the cause.

In the case of an ovarian cyst what are the general treatment options?
Brief Answer:
Depends on type and size of cyst.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The treatment of ovarian cyst depends on the size and type of the cyst. In case the cyst is large and complex then a surgical removal and biopsy may be needed.
In case the cyst is small and simple fluid filled then it can subside with hormonal therapy also.
