Brief Answer:
Most likely to be a calcified plaque.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Based on the facts that you have posted a painful hard area which you have noticed to developed on the shaft of the penis is mostly a calcified Plaque (Peyronie's disease). However, it can be confirmed only on clinical examination in person by a qualified Urologist. and doing Ultrasound Scanning of Penis.

Normally it gets resolved over a period of time of few months however if it causes difficulty in penetration of vagina during intercourse it has to be removed by surgery. Taking medication Pentoxifylline (Trental) orally for 6-8 months does help to resolve the issue. Please consult a urologist and get the Scanning of penis done to confirm the diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query, please feel free to ask if you have more questions, I shall be happy to help you. Thanks.

Regards,
Dr. Patil
