Why Is There Increase In Redness Around The Ankle When Diagnosed With Cellulitis In My Right Leg And Lymphedema?
Question: I had cellulitis in my right leg and was given an antibiotic .I also have lymphedema.This was about a month and a half ago. It is no longer warm and not painful, but the redness has increased, moving from above my ankle further up my leg. Does this mean the. Cellulitis is back?

Cellulitis will usually present with pain, tenderness, warmth, swelling, and redness.

Why is the red area increasing? What else could it be?
My right leg is also considerably larger than my left.
