Why My Period Is Currently 4 Weeks Late ?
Question: My period is currently 4 weeks late and i had an ultrasound which showed a sac in my uterus. My doctor then ordered a blood pregnancy test which came back negative. Is it possible that I am pregnant and that the hormones just aren't showing in my blood yet? I am spotting for the last 4 days.

The presence of sac in abdominal/pelvic ultrasound scan may not be a confirmatory test for pregnancy when the Urine pregnancy test is negative. In such cases, a Transvaginal ultrasound scan has to be done which can give a better picture of the sac you have.
The other possibility is the presence of a cyst which can be seen as a sac in the Usg scan.
The above recommendation is based on the fact that the blood HCG is negative.
