Why My Periods Are Irregular After Marriage ?

Question: i m 25 yrs old & married last year in feb 2011.After marriage, i am suffering with irregular manses. i consult one gynacologist .She suggest me to take sandoz regestrone 5 mg .After taking two tablets daily. My periods are still abnormal . Kindly suggest me wat can i do.

Thanks for your query.

Irregular periods is a consequence of hormonal imbalance. When the balance gets disturbed, either there will be intense PMS symptoms in cases of estrogen excess or excess bleeding as in case of progesterone excess.

Such hormononal imbalance usually are self-limiting and take not less than 2 to 3 months to get resolved.

You are on medication, i suggest you to wait for few days for the periods to get set.
