Why Urine Color Is Brown?
1. the last couple of times that I have urinated, the color of my urine was brown
2. I don't have any other symptoms
3. do you have any suggestions ?
Thank you.
Most likely dehydration
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
In most cases, brown or dark urine color is due to dehydration. Food such as beans and medications such as antibiotics can also change the color of urine to brown. Finally, less commonly, brown urine can be a sign of liver disease, blood in the urine, or bilirubin, which could come from diseases such as hemolytic anemia, or breakdown of blood cells in your blood vessels.
So I would recommend drinking plenty of water and see if that seems to help. If not, it might be good to get your urine tested, which would confirm clearly whether there was any issue with your urine or not.
I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any other questions about that, and I would be glad to discuss it with you further.
Thanks.
1. however, last night I had significant pain in my lower back, kidney area, and I was not sure if it was low back back pain [due to activity], or pain in my kidney. In the past I have had kidney stones, and the pain resembled a stone.
3. do you think these two symptoms may be related? do you have any suggestions ?
3. I also suffer from moderate sleep apnea, and I don't use a CPAP, so I have a high RBC.
Thank you.
If the pain is resolved, no concerns
Detailed Answer:
If the pain you had has completely resolved, I would not be concerned about it, if by chance it was a kidney stone, it would likely have passed. If the pain returns and is very severe, I would recommend seeing a doctor so that you can be evaluated, usually with a CT scan, to determine if there is a kidney stone, and to see how big it is.
Please let me know if you have any other questions, I'd be glad to help any way I can.
