Why Would I Get Constant Chills Alone And No Other Symptom?
Question: Have constant chills,no fever,no other symptoms
Brief Answer:
Possible infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I understand your concern. Chills are the body’s way too increase body temperature and fight off an infection. While they usually go together, sometimes chills precede fever. The most usual cause of chills is an infection such as influenza, pneumonia, or kidney infections. I strongly recommend you see your primary care doctor and do a urine and blood test as a start. Depending on the results you may need to do a chest x ray or a kidney ultrasound.
If the tests come out negative and you continue to have chills with no fever, I recommend you do a TSH level test to check for a possible low functioning thyroid.
I hope this helps.
Take care
