Will THC Show Up In Blood Or Urine Test Two Days After Intake?
Question: I smokes marijuana 2 days a ago and I have a spinal tap next week. Will thc show up and be a negative for diabectic nerve damage test to see what Dr. can do?
Brief Answer:
THC will show up in blood or urine if tested
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns
You are scheduled for a spinal tap next week and you are concerned that THC will show up in your test. Unless the doctor specifically asks for a THC screening test they will not find THC in your spine tap., THC is not a routine test for spinal fluid.
The THC will also not interfere with diabetic nerve testing. Your THC may help reduce you pain from diabetic neuropathy though.
I do not think that your use of marijuana should impact your current work up or care.
I hope I answered your question. If you have any further questions please return to HCM again

So Dr. ordering the spinal tap will not see the thc. They are looking to see what might caused the nerve damage abd what medications will help.
Brief Answer:
Marijuana research
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for returning to HCM with your XXXXXXX care questions.
There is ongoing research on neuropathy and treatment with marijuana specifically with CBD or cannabidiol. The results are encouraging but the overall research in this area is slow. Because the US still schedules marijuana as a class 1 drug research is limited. Other countries like Canada and Israel are leading the research in marijuana
