Will A Trigger Shot Increase The Chances Of Conception?

Question: Currently on 3Rd cycle on femara 3-7 with timed intercourse, 2 mature follicles seen in ultrasound that was taken today..Measured 18.2 & 18.7, I am on CD 12 today, previously 1st round 2.5mg no response, 2nd cycle dose doubled to 5.mg 3-7 -result 1 mature follicle & timed intercourse no pregnancy, Progesterone checked 7 days after O and progesterone result was 18 Dr. said very likely I ovulated on my own. I want to know if a trigger shot gives me a better chance of conceiving or if it makes no difference since I most likely ovulate on my own ??
Brief Answer:
Trigger shot will make no difference.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
A trigger shot will not add to your chances of conception as you already ovulated on your own in the previous cycle. It is best to remain stress free and concentrate on having a timed intercourse. Since there are two maturing follicles the ovulation will happen on its own in next 2-3 days.
