Will Chiro Adjustments Over The Years Will Improve With Time And Will Somewhat Heal?

Question: Hi, doctor. I have had chiro adjustments over the years with no issues but about 2 weeks ago, went to a new chiro who did the head roll (face up) and have had neck pain (in turning head side to side) and radiates into shoulder and arm - seems only to be on left side. Have had this done before but with no issues like this and actually, oftentimes helped in relief. This time was different. Oh, one other thing he did was grab the shoulder blades ( face down) and squeezed them together. Never had that done before. I've tried heat and rubs on it here at home but no relief. Just wanted to ask u if this is something that will improve with time and will somewhat heal. Thanks so much.

Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your question.

It is possible that a nerve was irritated during these chiropractic manipulations, so you have neck and arm pain.

In this setting, it is recommended to stop for a couple of weeks chiropractic procedures.

A soft cervical collar and NSAID drugs may help to alleviate the symptoms.

If the symptoms persist for more than a couple of weeks, cervical MRI and evaluation by your Neurologist may be necessary.

I hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
