Brief Answer:
Yes very likely cause of deranged liver functions is alcoholic cirrhosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi Dear,
Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic for your query,

As per your query, yes, elevated liver enzymes can be indicator of alcoholic liver cirrhosis. Alkaline phosphatase is elevated not only in many types of liver diseases, but also in non-liver related diseases. GGT blood levels are usually high when the liver is damaged and one of the most common cause of liver damage is alcohol and alcoholic cirrhosis.

Suggestions:

-Stop alcohol completely.
-Start taking an anti oxidant containing co enzyme q10 daily.
-Sylimarin is a potent liver rejenuvator and can be taken in doses suggested by your gastro.

Along with it I would suggest you to go for some basic tests of gastroenterology like-
-Ultrasound abdomen, if not normal then fibro scan of liver can be planned.
-HIV, HBsAg, HCV profile as a screening purpose.
-complete Liver function tests(S.G.O.T, S.G.P.T, Serum bilirubin etc.)

As per your query answer is yes, Stop alcohol intake totally this may hasten up your recovery.

I hope I answered your query, feel free to follow up.

Regards
